ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos on Tuesday signed wide receiver Fred Brown to their active roster from the practice squad and waived wide receiver River Cracraft, it was announced.
The team on Tuesday also signed wide receiver Trinity Benson to its practice squad.
Brown (6-1, 195 pounds) is a first-year player who spent the first three weeks of the season on Denver’s practice squad after joining the team as a future-contract signee on Dec. 31, 2018. In five preseason games with the Broncos, Brown caught eight passes for 90 yards (11.3 avg.) with one touchdown.
A two-year contributor at Mississippi State University, Brown entered the NFL as a college free agent with Indianapolis on June 15, 2017. He spent the 2018 offseason with the Los Angeles Rams, and did not appear on a roster in 2018.
Brown was born on Dec. 1, 1993. He will wear No. 19.
