BRONCOS SIGN WR BRITT DAVIS TO ACTIVE ROSTER; PLACE S KYLE McCARTHY ON INJURED RESERVE

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos on Monday signed wide receiver Britt Davis from their practice squad and placed safety Kyle McCarthy on injured reserve, it was announced.

Davis
(6-foot-3, 205 pounds) is a first-year player who joined the Broncos during training camp and spent the first 14 weeks of the season on Denver’s practice squad. He began his career with the New York Jets after originally signing with the club as a college free agent from Northern Illinois University.

He finished ranked fifth on the NIU all-time charts with 146 receptions and totaled 1,676 receiving yards and nine touchdowns during his four-year career with the Huskies.
A two-time All-State selection at Riverside-Brookfield High School in Broadview, Ill., Davis was born on April 23, 1986.     

McCarthy
, a rookie college free agent from the University of Notre Dame, played eight games (0 starts) this season and made two tackles along with two stops on special teams.
