“Back to Football Friday” is a campaign that combines the efforts of the United Way and NFL Play 60, which is the league’s initiative designed to get kids active through in-school, after-school and team-based programs. The campaign is in support of the NFL and its clubs’ commitment to youth health and wellness.
“Our fans have an overwhelming amount of passion for the Broncos, and we strongly encourage them to display that enthusiasm on Friday by wearing our colors and apparel,” Broncos Chief Operating Officer Joe Ellis said. “In addition to showing their Broncos pride on “Back to Football Friday,” fans who participate in this initiative will have a positive impact on the Denver community by promoting healthy and active lifestyles among our youth.”
This nationwide celebration is set for Friday to coincide with the excitement of Kickoff Weekend and the anticipation of the 2010 NFL season.
Schools that sign up to participate in “Back to Football Friday” are competing to win a player/team visit and a $10,000 NFL Play 60 Grant. Local offices that register are eligible to win a private suite for the Broncos’ Nov. 28 game against St. Louis with a Daniel Graham autographed jersey (1st place) and four Budweiser Champions Club tickets for the Broncos’ Dec. 26 game against Houston with a Champ Bailey autographed helmet (2nd place).
