ENGLEWOOD, Colo.— The Denver Broncos announced several transactions on Saturday, including the acquisition of tight end Dan Gronkowsi from the Detroit Lions in exchange for cornerback Alphonso Smith.

Also on Saturday, the team released 10 players and placed linebacker Elvis Dumervil and wide receiver Brandon Stokley on injured reserve. Defensive lineman Ben Garland was placed on the club’s reserve/military list.

The following 10 players were released by Denver on Saturday:
