ENGLEWOOD, Colo. A total of 43,335 fans attended the Denver Broncos’ training camp in 2010, the team announced on Thursday following the final practice that was open to the public.

t the 16 sessions that were open to fans at the Broncos’ training facility in Englewood, Colo., 22,553 people came to watch the team in action. In recognition of the Broncos’ new initiative with its long-standing partner HealthONE, the Broncos will match their Dove Valley camp attendance figure dollar-for-dollar with the $22,553 to be donated to the Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation.

“We are so grateful to our Denver Broncos for all they do in the community and now helping children and families through the Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation,” said Pat Peterson, executive director of the Rocky Mountain Children’s Health Foundation.

An average of 1,410 fans watched each Broncos practice at the team’s training facility. That represented the highest fan attendance average since the club averaged 1,438 fans in 2007.

A record crowd of 3,103 fans came to see Denver’s initial training camp practice at Dove Valley on Sunday, Aug. 1. Additionally, the team held a public practice at INVESCO Field at Mile High on Saturday, Aug. 7, in which 20,782 fans attended to set a Broncos record for a training camp practice.

HealthONE’s Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children became the first partner to be featured on the club’s practice jerseys in 2010. The Broncos have had a nearly two-decade relationship with HealthONE, which is the largest healthcare system in the metro Denver area.
