BRONCOS SIGN TE HENRY KRIEGER-COBLE FROM PRACTICE SQUAD; WAIVE QB AUSTIN DAVIS

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos on Friday signed tight end Henry Krieger-Coble to their active roster and waived quarterback Austin Davis, it was announced.

Krieger-Coble (#84, 6-4, 248 pounds) is a rookie who has competed on the Broncos’ practice squad in 2016 after being signed by the club as a college free agent from the University of Iowa.

He saw action in 46 games (14 starts) for the Hawkeyes, totaling 42 receptions for 463 yards (11.0 avg.) with four touchdowns. Krieger-Coble finished his final collegiate season ranked second on the team in catches (35) and receiving yards (405).

A graduate of Mount Pleasant (Iowa) High School, Krieger-Coble was born on June 12, 1992. His last name is pronounced KRAY-gur CO-bull.
