BRONCOS SIGN OLB VONTARRIUS DORA FROM PRACTICE SQUAD; PLACE LS CASEY KREITER ON INJURED RESERVE
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos on Friday signed outside linebacker Vontarrius Dora to their active roster and placed long snapper Casey Kreiter on injured reserve, it was announced.
Dora (#59, 6-4, 256 pounds) is a rookie who has competed on the Broncos’ practice squad since totaling 10 tackles (8 solo), two sacks (22 yds.) and one forced fumble during the 2016 preseason. He was signed by Denver in May as a college free agent from Louisiana Tech.
A four-year collegiate starter at defensive end, Dora appeared in 45 games at Louisiana Tech, totaling 147 tackles (64 solo), 13.5 sacks (106 yds.), two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. He was named Honorable Mention All-Conference USA as a senior after finishing with 48 tackles (31 solo), six sacks (51 yds.) and two forced fumbles.
Dora, who attended West Point (Miss.) High School, was born on Sept. 7, 1992.
