ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos on Monday signed safety Ryan Murphy and waived defensive end Kenny Anunike, it was announced.

Murphy (6-0, 214 pounds) is a first-year player who competed on Denver’s practice squad in 2015. He was signed by the Broncos to a futures contract on Feb. 10 before being waived on May 2.

Selected by Seattle in the seventh round (248th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft from Oregon State University, Murphy played 50 career games (39 starts) for the Beavers and totaled 139 tackles (82 solo), 1.5 sacks (5 yds.), four interceptions (79 yds.), 12 passes defensed and one forced fumble.

Murphy graduated from Oakland (Calif.) Tech High School and was born on Oct. 14, 1992.
