ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos on Wednesday agreed to terms with unrestricted free-agent tackle Donald Stephenson on a three-year contract, Executive Vice President of Football Operations/General Manager John Elway announced.

Stephenson (6-6, 312 pounds) is a fifth-year player who started 21-of-60 regular-season games and all three postseason contests played during his first four NFL seasons with Kansas City. He was selected by the Chiefs in the third round (74th overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft from the University of Oklahoma.

Fifteen of Stephenson’s total starts have come at left tackle in addition to eight starts at right tackle and one start as a short-yardage tight end. He also saw snaps at left guard during his tenure with the Chiefs.

Stephenson opened 23-of-32 games played at Oklahoma, including 13 starts during his senior season in 2011 to earn All-Big 12 Conference recognition. A graduate of Blue Springs High School in Kansas City, Mo., Stephenson was born on Sept. 30, 1988.
