ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos on Tuesday announced several transactions, including the signing of wide receiver Eric Decker, whom they selected in the third round (87th overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft from the University of Minnesota. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Also on Tuesday, the club waived linebacker Bruce Davis and offensive lineman Chris Marinelli.

Decker (6-foot-3, 220 pounds) set Minnesota school career records with 227 receptions and 3,119 receiving yards—totals that rank sixth and eighth, respectively, in Big Ten Conference history. He started 35 games for the Golden Gophers, totaling 11 career 100-yard receiving games while dropping just three passes in the 354 times he was targeted (0.8%).

As a senior in 2009, he led the Big Ten (15th in nation) with 94.8 receiving yards per game and was voted as a second-team Lowe’s Senior CLASS All-American.

An all-conference performer in football, baseball and basketball at Rocori High School in Cold Spring, Minn., Decker was born on March 15, 1987.
