BRONCOS SIGN GUARD ROBERT MYERS

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos on Wednesday signed guard Robert Myers from the Baltimore Ravens’ practice squad, it was announced.

Myers (6-5, 335 pounds) is a rookie offensive lineman who spent the season competing on practice squads with Baltimore and Indianapolis. He was selected by Baltimore in the fifth round (176th overall) of the 2015 NFL Draft from Tennessee State University.

Myers spent training camp with the Ravens before being claimed off waivers by Indianapolis. He spent Week 1 with the Colts’ practice squad before returning to the Ravens as a member of their practice squad from Weeks 2-16.

A three-year starter at guard and tackle for the Tigers, Myers started 35-of-46 games played, including 29 consecutive contests to finish his collegiate career. He was named second-team All-Ohio Valley Conference as a junior (left tackle) and senior (right guard).

Myers, who played left tackle at La Vergne (Tenn.) High School, was born on Dec. 26, 1991, in Chicago.

He will wear jersey No. 70.
