ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos on Saturday signed running back Kapri Bibbs to their active roster and released tight end Richard Gordon, it was announced. 

Bibbs (5-11, 203 pounds) is a second-year player who spent four weeks of his rookie season in 2014 on Denver’s active roster. He was signed by the club as a college free agent from Colorado State University.

Though he has not appeared in an NFL regular-season game, he played seven preseason games for the Broncos during the last two years, totaling 111 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 25 carries (4.4. avg.).

Bibbs broke CSU’s single-season record for rushing yards (1,741), touchdowns (31) and points (186) in his lone
season with the Rams in 2013 after playing at the junior college level.

He attended Plainfield (Ill.) North High School and was born on Jan. 10, 1993, in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Bibbs will wear No. 35.
