ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos on Wednesday signed tight end Richard Gordon and waived tight end Mitchell Henry, it was announced.

Gordon (6-4, 265 pounds) is a fifth-year player who has appeared in 34 regular-season games (5 starts) with Oakland (2011-12), Pittsburgh (2013), Kansas City (2013-14) and Tennessee (2014). He entered the NFL as a sixth-round selection (181st overall) by the Raiders in the 2011 NFL Draft from the University of Miami.

During his career, he has totaled four receptions for 14 yards (3.5 avg.) with one touchdown on offense, seeing time at tight end and fullback. He also has recorded 18 tackles and one fumble recovery on special teams.

A 49-game contributor during his collegiate career with the Hurricanes, Gordon graduated from Milford Academy in New Berlin, N.Y., and was born on June 7, 1987.

Gordon will wear No. 89.
