BRONCOS PLACE WR KYLE WILLIAMS ON INJURED RESERVE; SIGN WR CORBIN LOUKS
ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos on Monday placed wide receiver Kyle Williams on injured reserve, it was announced. Also on Monday, the team signed wide receiver Corbin Louks.
Louks (6-0, 200 pounds) is a first-year player who has competed on practice squads with Seattle (2012) and Kansas City (2014) since entering the NFL with the Seahawks in 2012 from the University of Nevada.
He spent the 2013 season with the San Jose Sabercats of the Arena Football League and played for the Boston Brawlers of the Fall Experimental Football League in 2014.
Louks began his collegiate career as a quarterback at the University of Utah from 2007-08 before transferring to Nevada and playing safety and wide receiver for the Wolf Pack from 2010-11.
In his two seasons with the Utes, Louks completed 9-of-15 passes (60.0%) for 145 yards with two touchdowns in addition to rushing 60 times for 380 yards (6.4 avg.) with four scores. He competed at safety for the Wolf Pack in 2010 before transitioning to wide receiver as a senior and totaling 26 catches for 303 yards (11.6 avg.) with one touchdown.
A first-team All-East Bay Athletic League performer at San Ramon Valley High School in Danville, Calif., Louks was born on April 10, 1989.
