BRONCOS ADD FOUR PLAYERS TO ROSTER

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos on Tuesday were awarded tight end Marcel Jensen (Jacksonville) and wide receiver Solomon Patton (Tampa Bay) off waivers, it was announced.

Also on Tuesday, the Broncos signed guard Andre Davis and wide receiver David Porter as college free agents.

Jensen (6-6, 270 pounds) is a second-year player who appeared in one game for the Jaguars as a rookie in 2014 in addition to spending time on the club’s practice squad. He entered the NFL with Jacksonville as a college free agent after starting 18-of-38 career games at Fresno State University and totaling 48 receptions for 708 yards (14.8 avg.) with eight touchdowns.

Patton (6-6, 270 pounds) is a second-year player who played seven games for the Buccaneers as a rookie in 2014. He totaled 18 kickoff returns for 416 yards (23.1 avg.) and 10 punt returns for 112 yards (11.2 avg.). He was signed by Tampa Bay as a college free agent from the University of Florida, where he totaled 52 receptions for 635 yards (12.2 avg.) with six touchdowns and 39 kickoff returns for 1,080 yards (27.7 avg.) in 43 games (8 starts).

Davis (6-4, 320 pounds), who participated in the N.Y. Jets’ rookie mini camp as a tryout player, started all 48 games played at the University of Buffalo, where he competed at both guard and tackle while blocking for three of the top-four single-season rushing performances in the program’s history.

Porter (6-0, 197 pounds), who participated in Miami’s rookie mini camp as a tryout player, appeared in 51 games (11 starts) during his collegiate career at Texas Christian University and totaled 74 receptions for 954 yards (13.4 avg.) with 10 touchdowns for the Horned Frogs.
