ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos on Thursday signed three players to future contracts, it was announced. They will be officially added to Denver’s roster at the conclusion of the 2009 NFL season in February.

Center Dustin Fry, guard Matt McChesney and punter A.J. Trapasso signed future contracts with the club.

Fry (6-foot-3, 326 pounds) is a second-year center who spent the 2009 season on Carolina’s practice squad. He was selected by St. Louis in the fifth found (139th overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft and appeared in four games (0 starts) on special teams with St. Louis in 2007. He spent time on the practice squad with Cleveland in 2008 and St. Louis (2007-08).

McChesney (6-foot-3, 333 pounds) is a third-year guard who was out of football after being designated released/injured by Denver on Sept. 9. He competed in Denver’s training camp before being placed on injured reserve on Sept. 4.

Trapasso (5-foot-11, 225 pounds) was a rookie in 2009 who split the season on the practice squad with Tampa Bay and Tennessee. He entered the NFL with Tennessee as a college free agent on May 1 after being a semifinalist for the Ray Guy Award at Ohio State University.
