BRONCOS SIGN THREE DRAFT SELECTIONS

ENGLEWOOD, Colo.— The Denver Broncos on Monday signed three players selected by the team in the 2014 NFL Draft, the clubannounced.

Wide receiver Cody Latimer (Rd. 2-56, Indiana), center Matt Paradis (Rd. 6-207, Boise State) and linebacker Corey Nelson (Rd. 7-242, Oklahoma) each signed their rookie contracts with the Broncos.

Latimer (6-2, 215 pounds) played 32 career games (24 starts) for Indiana and totaled 135 career receptions for 2,042 yards (15.1 avg.) with 17 touchdowns. He was named the Hoosiers’ Most Valuable Player as a junior in 2013 and received second-team All-Big Ten Conference recognition after posting 72 receptions for 1,096 yards (15.2 avg.) with nine touchdowns.

A wide receiver and defensive back at Jefferson Township High School in Dayton, Ohio, Latimer was born on Oct. 10, 1992.

Paradis (6-3, 300 pounds) appeared in 35 career games (27 starts) for Boise State, opening every game at center for the Broncos during his last two seasons. He earned second-team All-Mountain West Conference accolades and was named the school’s Outstanding Offensive Lineman following his senior campaign in 2013.

A former defensive lineman and participant in 8-man football for Council (Idaho) High School, Paradis was born on Oct. 12, 1989.

Nelson (6-1, 226 pounds) saw action in 45 games (27 starts) during his career at Oklahoma and collected 153 tackles (75 solo) to go along with 17.5 tackles for a loss, 6.5 sacks, one interception and one fumble recovery. He received second-team All-Big 12 Conference recognition following his junior season in 2012 before missing the majority of his senior year with a pectoral injury.

An All-American prep linebacker at Skyline High School in Dallas, Nelson was born on April 22, 1992.
