BRONCOS K MATT PRATER NAMED AFC SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Denver Broncos kicker Matt Prater was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week, the NFL informed the Broncos on Wednesday.

Prater set an NFL record with his 64-yard field goal as time expired in the first half of Denver’s 51-28 win against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday. He also led all NFL players with 15 points scored in Week 14 (3-3 FG, 6-6 PAT) to tie his career high.

The AFC Special Teams Player of the Week recognition marks the fifth such honor of his career. He joins wide receiver Trindon Holliday (Week 2)as Broncos AFC Special Teams Players of the Week this season.
       
Player of the Week and the seventh time this year a Bronco has earned conference Player of the Week recognition.
