BRONCOS AGREE TO TERMS WITH CENTER STEVE VALLOS

ENGLEWOOD, Colo.— The Denver Broncos on Sunday agreed to terms with free-agent center Steve Vallos pending his physical, Executive Vice President of Football Operations John Elway announced.

Vallos (6-3, 310 pounds) is a sixth-year player who has seen action in 44 career regular-season games (9 starts) with Seattle (2007-09), Cleveland (2010-11), Philadelphia (2012) and Jacksonville (2012). He has allowed just 1.25 sacks in his career and has been called for just two penalties according to STATS Inc.

He was selected by the Seahawks in the seventh round (232nd overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft and spent his rookie season on the club’s practice squad before seeing action in all 32 games (8 starts) for the team from 2008-09.

Vallos combined to play in eight games for the Browns from 2010-11 and four more contests (1 start) with Philadelphia and Jacksonville last season.

He opened a school-record 48 games during his collegiate career at Wake Forest University and earned All-America and All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors as a senior.

Vallos attended Boardman (Ohio) High School and was born on Dec. 28, 1983.
