ENGLEWOOD, Colo.— The Denver Broncos on Thursday signed rookie tackle Vinston Painter, who was selected by the club in the sixth round (173rd overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft.

Painter (6-foot-6, 309 pounds) played 31 games during his career at Virginia Tech, capping his tenure with the Hokies in 2012 by starting all 13 contests and earning honorable mention All-Atlantic Coast Conference recognition from the league’s coaches.

A graduate of Maury High School in Norfolk, Va., Painter was born on Oct. 11, 1989.
