NFL ANNOUNCES BRONCOS’ 2013 PRESEASON SCHEDULE

ENGLEWOOD, Colo.— The National Football League on Thursday announced the Denver Broncos’ 2013 reseason schedule, which features road games against the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks followed by home contests at Sports Authority Field at Mile High against the St. Louis Rams and Arizona Cardinals.

Additionally, the NFL revealed that Denver’s Week 3 game against St. Louis (Saturday, Aug. 24) will be broadcast nationally on primetime (6 p.m. MDT on CBS) to mark the fourth time in the last five seasons the Broncos have played in front of a national television audience during the preseason.

The Broncos will open their preseason on the road for the 16th consecutive season—extending the club record—when they make their final visit to San Francisco’s Candlestick Park to face the 49ers (Aug. 8-11). Denver will visit the Seattle Seahawks the following week (Aug. 15-19) before its preseason home opener against the St. Louis Rams on Saturday, Aug. 24. The Broncos will wrap up their preseason play against Arizona for the ninth time in the last 10 seasons when they host the Cardinals (Aug. 29-30).

Denver owns a 127-114 (.527) all-time record in the preseason and has registered at least a .500 record in the preseason during 15 of the last 17 seasons. Last year, Denver finished with a 2-2 preseason record.

For the 44th consecutive year, 850 KOA will broadcast all Broncos games as the team’s radio-rights holder. Dave Logan (play-by-play) will be in his 17th full season calling games for the club while former Broncos wide receiver Ed McCaffrey (color commentary) will take part in his second full season providing on-air analysis. Local television broadcast details for the preseason as well as the network broadcast crew for the Broncos’ nationally-televised game against St. Louis will be announced when they are available.

The remaining dates and times for Denver’s preseason schedule will be announced later this month in coordination with the NFL’s release of the Broncos’ complete 2013 regular-season schedule.
