ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos on Wednesday waived guard Mitch Erickson and released defensive lineman Kenny Peterson, it was announced.

Erickson, who joined the club as a college free agent on April 28, 2008, from South Dakota State University, spent two seasons on Denver’s practice squad.

Peterson, an eighth-year defensive lineman who joined the club as a free agent on Nov. 13, 2007, totaled 94 tackles (60 solo), including five sacks, in 42 games (15 starts) with the Broncos.
