ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos on Thursday announced several roster transactions, including the re-signing of defensive lineman Le Kevin Smith. The team also released inside linebacker Andra Davis and defensive lineman J’Vonne Parker.

Smith (6-3, 308 pounds) is a fifth-year defensive lineman who played in 11 games (2 starts) in his first season with the Broncos in 2009 after he was acquired from New England in a trade on Aug. 17.

He has seen action in 42 career regular-season games (2 starts) and has totaled 33 tackles (19 solo), including a sack (2 yds.), and a fumble recovery. He also has played in two postseason contests.

Davis, a ninth-year inside linebacker who joined the club last offseason, recorded 90 tackles (67 solo), including 3.5 sacks (27 yds.), and three pass breakups in 16 games (13 starts) in 2009.

Parker, a sixth-year defensive lineman who has appeared in 11 career games, did not play in his only season with the Broncos in 2009 after being placed on injured reserve on Aug. 8.
