ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos signed cornerback Tony Carter and wide receiver Greg Orton to their practice on Wednesday, it was announced.
Carter (5-foot-9, 175 pounds) is a third-year player who has seen action in four career games (1 start) with New England (2010) and Denver (2009) in addition to competing with Minnesota during training camp in 2011. He was signed by the Broncos as a college free agent from Florida State University in 2009 and spent his rookie season splitting time between Broncos’ practice squad and active roster.
Orton (6-foot-3, 199 pounds) is a rookie who competed with Denver during the preseason following two years playing for the Spokane Shock of the Arena Football League. He was originally signed by Cincinnati as an undrafted free agent from Purdue University in 2009.
