Second Annual Orange Ride Scheduled to Promote Denver Broncos Game Plan Green Program
The Orange Sunday celebration will begin with the second annual Orange Ride. In conjunction with the City of Denver, B-cycle, the Denver Cruisers and Bike Denver, fans are encouraged to ride their bike to the game. The Denver Pavilions and Paramount Café will be hosting a pre-ride party, starting at 10 a.m., with the group ride to Sports Authority Field at Mile High leaving at 11 a.m.
Celebrity riders for the Orange Ride include Mayor Michael B. Hancock, Susie Wargin from 9News, and Bronco Alum Rich Karlis. Fans can also ride from their homes, as all bike riders will receive free admission to the Broncos Barn tailgate party (opens at 11:05 a.m.), an Orange Ride T-shirt and complimentary gift bag. All bike riders without a game ticket will be allowed to stay in the Broncos Barn after kickoff to watch the game.
Bike riders will receive food and drink specials and giveaways. The Orange Ride is a part of the Denver Broncos Game Plan Green program to help promote sustainable practices at Sports Authority Field at Mile High in partnership with Xcel Energy and ROUND2 INC. The inaugural Orange Ride last season included approximately 800 riders.
Pregame will feature Mayor Hancock delivering the Broncos game ball on a bike from B-cycle, a municipal bike sharing system featured in Denver.
These special events, coupled with the action on the field, will help make Orange Sunday exciting and memorable. To purchase Broncos gear, fans can visit one of three Broncos team stores at Sports Authority Field at Mile High, Dove Valley and the Broncos Locker store at the Promenade at Centennial.
