ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — A record average of 1,597 fans attended the Denver Broncos’ 17 training camp practices at Dove Valley, the team announced Thursday following the final practice that was open to the public.

The figure represents the highest average attendance in the nine years the team has held its training camp at the Paul D. Bowlen Memorial Centre in Englewood, Colo.

A total of 27,142 people came to watch training camp sessions at the club’s facility. An additional 17,982 fans attended the Broncos’ Summer Scrimmage at Sports Authority Field on Aug. 6 to represent the second-highest total ever for a Broncos training camp practice and bring the final tally to 45,124 fans.
