NFL ANNOUNCES BRONCOS’ 2011 PRESEASON SCHEDULE

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The National Football League on Tuesday announced the Denver Broncos’ 2011 preseason schedule, which features home games against the Buffalo Bills and Seattle Seahawks as well as road contests against the Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals.

“The preseason is an important time for us to evaluate our roster and get a better feel for our players,” said Broncos Head Coach John Fox, who posted a 19-17 (.528) preseason record in nine seasons with Carolina (2002-10). “It plays a big role in our regular-season preparation in terms of our timing and execution in all phases of the game.

“We are looking forward to competing against four quality opponents and getting the season started.”

The Broncos will open their preseason on the road for the 14th consecutive season—extending the club record—when they travel to Cowboys Stadium to play the Dallas Cowboys (Aug. 11-15). Denver will host consecutive home games against Buffalo (Aug. 18-22) and Seattle (Aug. 25-29) before wrapping up the preseason at Arizona (Sept. 1-2).

Denver owns a 123-110 (.528) all-time record in the preseason and has registered at least a .500 record in the preseason during 13 of the last 15 seasons.

Exact dates and times for Denver’s entire preseason schedule will be announced later this month in coordination with the NFL’s release of the Broncos’ complete 2011 regular-season schedule.
