    During the period beginning at 12 noon, New York time, on March 7th and ending at 3:59:59 p.m., New York time, on March 9th, clubs are permitted to contact, and enter into contract negotiations with the certified agents of players who will become Unrestricted Free Agents upon the expiration of their 2016 player contracts at 4:00 p.m., New York time, on March 9. However, a contract cannot be executed with a new club until 4:00 p.m., New York time, on March 9.

    During the above two-day negotiating period, no direct contact is permitted between a prospective unrestricted free agent and any employee or representative of a club, other than the player’s current club.

    The 2017 League Year and Free Agency period begin at 4:00 p.m., New York time.

    The first day of the 2017 League Year will end at 11:59:59 p.m., New York time, on March 9. Clubs will receive a personnel notice that will include all transactions submitted to the League office during the period between 4:00 p.m., New York time, and 11:59:59 p.m., New York time, on March 9.

    Trading period for 2017 begins at 4:00 p.m., New York time, after expiration of all 2016 contracts.

DAVE LOGAN SIGNS THREE-YEAR CONTRACT EXTENSION WITH 850 KOA RADIO

Logan will continue providing play-by-play for the team’s broadcasts, entering his 15th season in that role
DENVER — NewsRadio 850 KOA announced Monday that Dave Logan has signed a three-year contract extension to continue providing play-by-play for Denver Broncos radio broadcasts on 850 KOA’s Broncos Radio Network as well as co-hosting The Ride Home weekdays from 3-7 p.m.

“We are thrilled to have Dave continue his storied career with 850 KOA and the Denver Broncos Radio Network,” said Pat Connor, President and Market Manager of Clear Channel Denver. “Dave is not only one of the best broadcasters in radio, but in broadcasting period. He’s a community voice for Denver, and we are grateful that we'll have him as part of the 850 KOA team for years to come.”

Logan will enter his 15th season providing play-by-play for the Broncos following seven years as color analyst on 850 KOA broadcasts.

“Dave is a staple of Denver Broncos football as well as this community, and his knowledge, passion and insight bring our fans closer to the game,” Denver Broncos President Joe Ellis said. “He has provided some of the most memorable calls in the history of the franchise on KOA Radio, including his play-by-play during the Broncos’ back-to-back Super Bowl wins. We are fortunate to have him continue as the voice of the Broncos, capturing all of the special moments to come as our organization begins an exciting new chapter in its history.”

A Wheatridge High School graduate and two-sport letterman at the University of Colorado in Boulder, Logan is one of only two athletes to be drafted in three professional sports leagues. Logan chose the NFL and played eight seasons with the Cleveland Browns and one season with the Denver Broncos, catching 263 passes for 4,250 yards and 24 touchdowns in his career.

Logan is in his 18th season coaching High School Football, and has led Mullen High School in two consecutive undefeated seasons and three consecutive state titles. He has coached six teams to state titles in his career.

He co-hosts The Ride Home with Lois Melkonian weekdays from 3-7 p.m. on 850 KOA.
