BRONCOS FINALIZE 2011 COACHING STAFF

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Denver Broncos Head Coach John Fox finalized his coaching staff for the 2011 season on Thursday after naming Keith Burns assistant special teams coach and Sam Garnes assistant secondary coach.

Keith Burns (Assistant Special Teams):
Burns enters his fifth season coaching the Broncos’ special teams after a 13-year playing career in which he became one of the most accomplished special teams players in the NFL. Burns, who played linebacker for the Broncos for 11 seasons (1994-98, ‘00-03, ’05-06), was born on May 16, 1972. 

Sam Garnes
(Assistant Secondary): Garnes enters his first year with the Broncos after spending the 2010 with Carolina as a special teams assistant. After a seven-year playing career as a safety for the New York Giants (1997-2001) and New York Jets (2002-03), he coached with several teams, including in NFL Europe and the UFL. He was born on July 12, 1974.
