BRONCOS SIGN OL MANNY RAMIREZ TO FUTURE CONTRACT

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — The Denver Broncos on Tuesday signed offensive lineman Manny Ramirez to a future contract, it was announced. He will be officially added to Denver’s roster at the conclusion of the 2010 NFL season in February.

Ramirez
(6-foot-3, 326 pounds) will enter his fifth year having played 18 career games (15 starts) for Detroit since he was selected by the Lions in the fourth round (117th overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft from Texas Tech University.

The Red Raiders led the nation with an average of 398.9 passing yards per game during his four seasons as a starter (2003-06). He received first-team All-Big 12 accolades as a senior in 2006.

Ramirez attended Willowridge High School in Houston, Texas, where he was a first-team All-District 20-5A selection as a junior and senior. He was born on Feb. 13, 1983.
